Obscure Krautrock bands I
Seesselberg Synthetik (private press)
year of grace 1973. Dusseldorf, industrial area that has inspired Kraftwerk, Cluster and Neu. Two brothers Eckhart and Wolf-J dealing with analog synthesizers, drum machines and generators will print a disc in just 600 copies and named Synthetic. Their sound is just a synthetic-electronic bands like Suicide, Silver Apples (without vocals), early Kraftwerk and Kluster. Recorded partly in Dusseldorf and Hamburg in part.
In a video of '75? taken from D ie Krautrock Nacht Vol.III in viewing on Youtube you can see the two brothers standing in front of their instruments: a stack of sequencers, keyboards, colored wires coming out of boxes, synths, drum machines and generators, live in a gallery? before an attentive audience. The YouTube video only lasts 2 minutes and 29 seconds (it was cut, although it seemed to have seen it in full right on Youtube), the concert is framezzato from images where you see the two brothers wander in their study (?) In front piles of bones and the projection of a film in super 8 with color effects that follows the rhythm of the songs ... no concessions to melody (To the tune Schnitzler is a Virus) short tracks, it's a soundtrack for space exploration, science fiction movies 60s and astral travel. remarkable when you consider that the trials Schnitzler began later. One disc, this video and nothing else ... I've never heard of ...
