Zweistein: Trip - Flip Out - Meditation (Phillips 1970 3LP)

How in 1970 everything was possible and it was not difficult with time become a cult ...
Zweistein [homage to Einstein] is a "group" (although it has never been in reality) consists of two half-sisters Dianne (? ) and Suzanne Doucet. Suzanne was an established pop singer in Germany, tired of the law of the music-business more interested in selling a product and make money than to the creative side, he followed the experimental groups that were in the city (Munich) and formed part of the drug culture as many young people of those times. He decided to try to make a record of avant-garde music (sound Sound Collage and Painting) to do something really creative. Having an advance for a single (He was out to do a single with one hand and a folk ballad in that other experimental study of non-musicians) the sisters took their journey (in all senses), along the country and its neighbors, recording "things that normally do not do case" sounds, children playing, voices, bodies of carousels, prayers (in a church in Prague) with a tape recorder the size of a laptop ... To play things back that they had registered as a friend after being edited, creating a kind of suite, always with that tape. Given that the proposal pleased them, they thought it was time to make her feel a producer. They called a boss Phonogram / Phillips, who had just put under contract and Krafwerk Cluster and this gave him an appointment at their house one day at 11 am! As Suzanne points out: hard to listen to that kind of thing but at that time were organized: the curtains closed, filled with a pipette, lighted candles, they a tea and after two hours of music signed the contract. Suzanne stepped into the studio help from his favorite sound engineer, Peter Kramper, who added a number of effects to your recordings (echo, spills, etc. ..) making them "psychedelic" because of this it was to make a record that recalls the effect of a Trip of LSD. With the material that the girls provide the technician was released a triple album (106 minutes) and they named Trip Flip Out Meditation because it reflected the evolution of the mind of an entire generation. Suzanne used the pseudonym of Jacques Dorian to protect his career as a pop singer ...
The record is a collage of sounds that could vaguely remember some things done by Zappa played with sometimes something very now and then: guitar and drums ... Tell Suzanne that was something magical ... In the studio, the sounds appeared out of nowhere and no one was able to explain the origin of Uri Geller and ... the teacher who trained in 1972 (I do not know if they are a good guarantee ) were convinced that those mysterious sounds were messages from aliens! (What a time! ...)
