Tetsuo III: The Bullet Man
Surprisingly (to me), was released on the third chapter in the saga Tetsuo, T h Bullet Man, Shinya Tsukamoto. I remember how I was struck by the speed and beauty of the images in b / industrial-metal music, pounding (in '89 listening to Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Pitchshifter, Godflesh etc.) when I saw the first Tetsuo (The Iron Man ) in overtime. That movie I was impressed for long. Twenty years later Tetsuo is back. This third episode in the saga seems more refined, less chaotic, less splatter and surreal the first two. The story is simple and does not lose the thread as is the case in previous stories, but the style is unmistakable and the director is always the same. We find all the ingredients that made his films of the CULT. From the painstaking care and experimental images alone could already be the subject of an exhibition and a job if, by the speed of the sequences, ruthless when needed (the shooting with an incredible violence and destruction of an entire SWAT team); by location: Tokyo no longer seen from the periphery but from below, from the alleys between the buildings and inside a wooden house (traditional); by the fact that in this film are not using a computer to create the effects but these are made with a long work of assembling and stop-motion technique , and the creation of the monster with rubber prosthesis.
The story as I have said it is easier and less surreal the first two. Anthony career in a man lives with his wife and son in Tokyo. One day this is hit intentionally by a car driven by a mysterious character (played by Tsukamoto) and this results in him a terrible mutation of flesh and metal. Placing himself to investigate his past discovers that his father had formed part of a 'Japanese-American team of scientists trying to create the perfect soldier. This, groped to save his pregnant wife cancer patient and submit it to his "care" and Anthony is not the result.
The film is shot in English with American actors and Japanese (this is new)

The film has many special moments but one of the scenes that impressed me is when after Anthony took out a 'whole SWAT team, falls asleep exhausted, his wife takes the piece of metal from the body as if trying to release them and have them carefully on the floor.
